The AfD has maintained its clear lead in the latest ZDF “Politbarometer.” According to the election researchers group, if a federal election were held next Sunday, the AfD would secure 27 percent of the vote, a slight drop of one percentage point compared to the previous survey.
However, the gap between the AfD and the CDU/CSU Union remains unchanged, as the Union itself lost one point, settling at 22 percent.
The Greens are the only other party showing significant movement, gaining a percentage point to reach 14 percent in the poll. In contrast, the SPD (12 percent), The Left (12 percent), and the FDP (4 percent) recorded no changes. Meanwhile, the combined vote for all other parties stood at 9 percent, marking a gain of one point.
