Frankfurt Midfielder Ellyes Skhiri Moves to 1. FC Köln After Successful Stint

Ellyes Skhiri is leaving Eintracht Frankfurt. According to the Bundesliga, the 31-year-old midfielder is transferring to 1. FC Köln with immediate effect, returning to the Rhineland after joining the club in the summer of 2023.

During his time at Eintracht, Skhiri featured in 82 Bundesliga matches, six German Cup games, and 29 European club competitions. His statistics include seven goals and seven assists. Notably, he scored the 3-1 goal against Freiburg on the final day of the 2024/25 season, a goal that helped Eintracht secure the club’s first-ever Champions League qualification via the Bundesliga. He played in all eight of those tournament matches.

In June, the 31-year-old was also involved with the Tunisian National Team during the World Cup held in Canada, Mexico, and the USA. Sporting Director Timmo Hardung praised Skhiri as an important part of the team and extended his best wishes for his professional and private future.
