Rüstungsfirma Targeted in Bavaria: Authorities Apprehend Suspects in Attack Attempt

Flames were set at a construction site located in front of the headquarters of the technology conglomerate Rohde & Schwarz in Munich. The Bavarian State Criminal Police Office (LKA) suspects that the incident was an attempted attack against the company, which also operates in the arms sector, and is investigating the potential political context surrounding the event. According to Bavarian Radio, two suspects-a 28-year-old woman and a 38-year-old man, both Bulgarian nationals-have been arrested.

Police were notified by a witness who saw incendiary devices being thrown from a vehicle. One of these incendiary devices ignited near construction containers, but it was extinguished by a police patrol. Consequently, only minor property damage occurred, and no one was injured. Another incendiary device, which failed to ignite, was neutralized by specialized forces.

The suspects were apprehended at a nearby gas station. Investigations are ongoing to determine their connection to the incident and identify a possible motive.
