A fan of Eintracht Braunschweig died during the match against Dynamo Dresden in the 2. Bundesliga on Saturday. This was announced by Eintracht Braunschweig itself. Before the game kickoff, a medical emergency took place in the stands at the stadium. According to the club, even despite immediate measures being taken, the affected Braunschweig fan passed away on his way to the hospital. Because of the medical emergency, the match ultimately started about fifteen minutes later than originally scheduled.
