Israel’s Ambassador, Ron Prosor, has issued a warning regarding the persistent threat of violence, citing thwarted Hamas attack plans and death threats against Jews in Germany. Speaking to “Redaktionsnetzwerk Deutschland,” he noted that Hamas had intended to repeat the terror of October 7, 2023, on German soil, describing the revelation as “shocking.”
Prosor stated that only the prompt intervention of German investigators prevented a catastrophe. Nevertheless, the danger remains high, with the Ambassador asserting that Germany has transitioned from being a safe haven for Hamas to an “active terror target.” He stressed that this deadly ideology threatens everyone and must therefore be combated collectively.
Separately, it was reported on Friday that the Federal Public Prosecutor’s Office in Berlin has filed charges against seven presumed members of the Islamist terrorist organization Hamas. These men are accused of planning a murder attack against Israeli representatives, Jews, or their supporters in Germany or Austria. Furthermore, the Munich Public Prosecutor’s Office is also investigating following the receipt of death threats against Charlotte Knobloch, the former chairwoman of the Central Council of Jews in Germany, after she criticized the AfD’s success in Saxony-Anhalt.
