Antonelli Claims Victory in Madrid Grand Prix, Boosting Championship Lead

Kimi Antonelli of Mercedes secured the victory in the Spanish Formula 1 Grand Prix. Max Verstappen (Red Bull) finished second in Madrid, while Lando Norris (McLaren) completed the podium.

With this win, Antonelli further extended his lead in the World Championship standings. Norris, who started from pole position, unfortunately suffered from timing issues with his pit stop, which is likely the reason he could not take the win.

Finishing behind the podium on the points ladder on Sunday were Charles Leclerc (Ferrari), George Russell (Mercedes), Liam Lawson (Red Bull), Franco Colapinto (Alpine), and Oscar Piastri (McLaren). Arvid Lindblad (Racing Bulls) picked up two points for the championship in ninth place, and the only German driver, Nico Hülkenberg (Audi), earned one point from tenth place. The next race is scheduled to take place in Azerbaijan in two weeks.
