Fuel prices at German gas stations have risen significantly once again. According to the current weekly evaluation by ADAC, the average price for Super E10 nationwide increased by 4.1 cents over the previous week, hitting a new all-time high of €2.300 per liter. Diesel prices rose even more sharply, increasing by 10.1 cents to reach €2.422 per liter, although this remains just below the record high set in April 2026.
ADAC explained that the rising retail prices are linked to the higher price of crude oil. A barrel of Brent crude from the North Sea currently costs nearly 110 US dollars. However, the motoring club emphasized that the increase in the oil price and the Euro-Dollar exchange rate only partially justify the current pump prices.
The development of Super E10 is particularly noteworthy, as its price has reached new peaks for four consecutive days, despite the crude oil price being lower than previous peaks. ADAC stated that more explanations are needed at the refinery and wholesale levels, urging greater transparency in the pricing structure throughout the entire value chain.
