Following several days of setting new records, prices for Super E10 at German gas stations have now seen the diesel price reach a new all-time high. According to reports citing the ADAC, the average cost of a liter of diesel across Germany on Wednesday stood at €2.453, marking an unprecedented figure. Meanwhile, Super E10 had reached a new peak of €2.300 per liter the day before. These elevated prices are primarily attributed to the sharp increase in oil costs, which has been driven by the ongoing war in the Middle East. In response to the soaring fuel expenses, Chancellor Friedrich Merz (CDU) recently announced plans for countermeasures, although he did not provide details regarding the specific instruments or a timeframe for these actions.
