Claudia Wittig, the Deputy Spokeswoman of the BSW parliamentary group in Saxony-Anhalt, has leveled severe accusations against Israel. Speaking to the German publication “Welt” on Tuesday, Wittig claimed that Israel maintains “a fascist government that is waging wars on all fronts, suppresses a population group, and is most likely attempting systematic deportations.”
She characterized the government as advancing a “fascist, nationalist blood-and-soil policy” and stated that Israel adheres to a “Greater Israel vision.”
Wittig acknowledged that the State of Israel possesses a right to exist, “as far as one can say such things about states.” However, she strongly argued that the state is committing grave crimes that Germany should support. She remarked, “We are passively accepting that the guilt we bear from the Holocaust will ultimately be discharged at the expense of the Palestinians.” Wittig concluded by saying that “we are now using our own responsibility for a genocide we ourselves tried to commit, and are now supporting another one there.”
