MHP, the Porsche subsidiary specializing in IT consulting, is implementing workforce reductions as part of a broader organizational transformation. According to CEO Federico Magno, the company will be reducing its headcount by a low three-digit number of employees.
Magno, speaking to German news magazine “Focus” emphasized that these changes are intended to enhance performance. The restructuring involves hiring new consultants in certain areas while simultaneously releasing others whose profiles are not aligned with the company’s evolving strategic direction. He framed the move as an acceleration of the company’s transformation, characterizing it as “a signal of strength.
A key component of the new strategy focuses on broadening MHP’s client base beyond the automotive sector. Magno announced a deliberate effort to target industries including aerospace, energy, semiconductors and artificial intelligence, characterizing the company’s scope as “advanced industry” globally. While the automotive industry will remain important, MHP intends to cultivate a more diverse portfolio of clients.
Addressing speculation regarding a potential divestiture by Porsche, Magno affirmed that Porsche remains supportive of MHP’s “Strategy 2030”. He highlighted the parent company as “an excellent partner and an excellent customer”. Porsche CEO Oliver Blume publicly praised Magno’s leadership, stating he is “a phenomenal leader for both Volkswagen and Porsche – he has always supported and promoted me”.
