FC Bayern München defeated Borussia Dortmund 2-1 in the Supercup.
The lead for the Bavarians was secured in the 29th minute when Nathaniel Brown scored. The goal originated with a long ball played by Joshua Kimmich to his teammate Michael Olise, who held up well in the Dortmund penalty area. Finding himself under pressure, Olise set up Brown, who quickly took advantage, finishing with the inside of his foot.
Olise doubled the lead for Bayern in the very first minute of injury time in the first half. This came after the Dortmund player Jobe Bellingham lost possession in his own half. Olise swiftly intercepted the ball and accelerated into the penalty area. With no Borussi defender able to challenge him, Olise nudged the ball into the lower left corner past Dortmund keeper Gregor Kobel.
In the 75th minute, Fabio Silva scored the equalizer for BVB. The goal resulted from an build-up error by Bayern defender Jonathan Tah. Moments later, midfielder Giannis Konstantelias drove in from the flank, cutting inside slightly and delivering a cross toward the overlapping teammate, Daniel Svensson, in the Munich box. Silva met the low cross with his left foot. Alphonso Davies managed to deflect the shot, preventing Manuel Neuer from making a crucial save.
Later in the match, in the 90th minute, BVB defender Ramy Bensebaini received a red card for a serious foul against Bayern striker Ismael Saibari.
