In light of the acute fire danger across large parts of Germany, Sabine Lackner, President of the Federal Agency for Technical Relief (THW), is calling on the federal government for additional funding. She emphasized that such situations are becoming more frequent due to the consequences of climate change. Therefore, according to Lackner, it is essential to continuously strengthen civil protection efforts by investing in modern equipment and the training of emergency personnel.
