According to a new poll by the Insa Institute, political climate has shifted, with CSU politician and Federal Minister of the Interior, Alexander Dobrindt, now ranking higher than CDU Chairman and Bavarian Minister-President Markus Söder in terms of voter favorability. The update, reported by the “Bild-Zeitung”, shows that Dobrindt has risen from fifth place to fourth. Söder, conversely, dropped from fifth to sixth place.
The overall ranking remains led by Federal Minister of Defence Boris Pistorius (SPD). Following him are Cem Özdemir, the Minister-President of Baden-Württemberg (Green), and Hendrik Wüst, the government leader of North Rhine-Westphalia (CDU). Manuela Schwesig, the Minister-President of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern (SPD), completes the initial positions.
Further down the list, Federal Labour Minister Bärbel Bas (SPD) is ranked 18th. Katherina Reiche, the Federal Minister of Economy (CDU), holds the 19th spot, while Chancellor Friedrich Merz (CDU) is placed 20th.
For this political ranking, Insa surveyed a total of 2,004 eligible voters between August 21 and 24. Respondents were asked the question: “How do you evaluate the following politicians on a scale from 0 (very bad) to 10 (very good)?”
