In a recent regular Insa poll, the FDP has once again crossed the five percent threshold, something they have not done in eighteen months. According to the Sunday Trend poll, which the opinion research institute collects weekly for “Bild am Sonntag”, the liberal party has seen a one-point increase, reaching five percent.
The AfD remains the strongest political force, holding steady at 28 percent. The CDU/CSU maintained their standing at 21 percent, as did the Greens (14 percent), the SPD (12 percent), and The Left (11 percent). The BSW stagnated at 4 percent, meaning they would fail to gain entry into the Bundestag. Additionally, five percent of respondents indicated they would vote for one of the other parties.
For “Bild am Sonntag”, Insa surveyed 1,201 individuals between July 27 and July 31, 2026, asking the question: “If a federal election were held next Sunday, how would you vote?”
