Former CDU Aide Joins BCG as Political Advisor Connecting Corporate and Public Sectors

Jacob Schrot, who previously served as the head of the office for Federal Minister-President Friedrich Merz (CDU) until January, has accepted a new professional role. According to the “Handelsblatt”, the 35-year-old will join Boston Consulting Group (BCG) as a Partner starting on June 1st.

At BCG, Schrot will join the Public Sector Practice Group, where he will advise companies and institutions on political matters. He told the newspaper that he is “very pleased to begin a new professional chapter and to be able to act future-sight as an interpreter between the worlds of business and politics”.

BCG established the Global Advantage and Geopolitics Practice Group itself in 2016. Since then, the group has expanded due to numerous global conflicts and crises, and is systematically growing with new Partners and Senior Advisors.
