Although a second goal would have been enough for the guests, Ansu Fati struck another third goal for the home side in added time.
This match marks the first defeat for Freiburg in this competition. For the club, their focus now shifts to the weekend Bundesliga match against Bayern Munich. Their next Conference League fixture will take place on November 5th away against Trabzonspor.
