Fuel prices in Germany have risen significantly compared to last week. According to the ADAC’s weekly analysis, the average price for Super E10 nationwide reached €2.259 per liter, representing an increase of 7.6 cents over the previous week. Diesel saw an even sharper increase, climbing by nearly 9 cents to reach €2.321 per liter.
The ADAC attributed the increase partly to rising oil prices, which recently hovered just under $100 per barrel for Brent crude. However, the organization noted that the current price level is only partially justified by the fluctuations in oil prices and the Euro-Dollar exchange rate.
The ADAC specifically drew attention to the fact that Super E10 is reaching new record highs even though the crude oil price is far below previous peaks. Consequently, the ADAC again demanded greater transparency regarding how prices are being formed across the entire value chain.
