Konstantin von Notz, Vice-Chairman of the Green Party parliamentary group, stated that he finds the concerns raised by Defense Minister Boris Pistorius (SPD) regarding the leakage of confidential information to potential AfD ministers completely justified. Speaking to Handelsblatt, the deputy chairman of the Intelligence Services Control Committee asserted that “the AfD is the parliamentarian arm of Moscow in Germany.” He stressed that the threat of highly sensitive data flowing into a hostile, dictatorial regime is fearfully real. Von Notz called for the National Security Council (NSR) to urgently address this critical matter. Furthermore, he noted that security agencies have been highlighting blatant risks associated with the AfD-risks concerning police and intelligence cooperation-for several months now. He cited an experience in Austria as a warning: when right-wing extremists were in charge there, names of over 30,000 police officers were reportedly handed directly to Russian intelligence services.
