Healthcare Chief Urges Swift Approval of Savings Package to Ensure System Stability

Oliver Blatt, Chairman of the Federal Association of Statutory Health Insurance Funds, is firmly insisting on the rapid adoption of the health insurance savings package and opposes any delay. Speaking to the “Rheinische Post”, Blatt stated, “We need this savings package, and we need it quickly and promptly, so that it can take effect as soon as possible and not be further watered down.”

He criticized recent negotiations, noting that too many demands have already been conceded across various sectors, ranging from the pharmaceutical industry to hospitals. Consequently, Blatt demanded that all parties involved look beyond their immediate interests. He warned, “I expect everyone to look beyond their own perspective and focus on the overall stability and future viability of the entire healthcare system.”
