On Thursday morning, emergency personnel found a small child deceased in Preetz near Kiel. Police reported that it is highly likely to be a three-year-old girl who had been missing since the previous day.
The girl, who has autism, was reported missing by her parents on Wednesday afternoon. Following this report, the police launched a large-scale search operation involving numerous officers from the Kiel Police Directorate and the Eutin standby police.
Additional information is expected to be released later on Thursday afternoon.
