Following an incident in downtown Leipzig where a vehicle was driven into a group of people, reports indicate that there were at least two fatalities. While the radio station Radio Leipzig disseminated this information, they did not name a source during their live broadcast, mentioning only “eyewitness accounts” found online. Subsequently, a police spokesperson told the station that the public is no longer in danger. The driver of the vehicle has been taken into police custody.
