The real, price‑adjusted volume of construction contracts in November 2025 rose 8.5 % relative to October 2025, after both calendar‑day and seasonal adjustments.
Breaking the overall figure down by sector, November’s orders increased 7.2 % in building construction (Hochbau) and 10.1 % in civil engineering (Tiefbau) compared with the previous month. On a less volatile three‑month basis, the calendar‑adjusted volume from September to November rose 3.8 % compared with the preceding three months – a 5.1 % gain in Hochbau and a 2.6 % rise in Tiefbau.
Year‑on‑year, the real, calendar‑adjusted construction orders in November were 4.1 % higher than in November 2024. Hochbau orders grew 9.5 %, while Tiefbau slipped 0.4 %. In contrast, the nominal, unadjusted orders were 5.9 % above the same month last year.
Construction revenues followed a similar pattern. Real revenue in November 2025 was 4.3 % higher than in November 2024. Nominal revenue climbed 6.8 % to €12.3 billion. Over the first eleven months of 2025, real revenue increased 2.1 % versus the prior year, while nominal revenue grew 4.6 %.
Employment in the construction sector also expanded: the number of workers registered in construction in November 2025 was 1.3 % larger than in November 2024.
