President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced on Sunday that the direct talks between Russian and Ukrainian representatives in Abu Dhabi are expected to resume only on Wednesday. Initially, the negotiations were anticipated to continue over the weekend in the United Arab Emirates.
Zelenskyy said that the Ukrainian negotiating team had presented a progress report. According to the schedule, the next trilateral meetings are set for February 4-5 in Abu Dhabi, with the United States returning as a mediator at the table.
“Ukraine is ready for substantial talks, and we are eager for an outcome that brings us closer to a real and dignified end to the war” Zelenskyy added.
