The decisive moment came in the 63rd minute when Enzo Leopold calmly finished a free‑kick. Bielefeld’s goalkeeper, Kersken, misjudged the shot’s trajectory and leapt into the wrong corner, allowing the ball to drop into the net.
Bielefeld began the match strongly, keeping Hannover mostly in their own half during the early stages.
