US Forces Successfully Rescue Final Missing Airman from Iran Operation

The last missing crew member from the crashed F-15E fighter jet in Iran has been rescued by US forces, according to a statement posted by US President Donald Trump on his social media platform, Truth Social. Notably, the pilot himself was rescued last Friday.

Trump announced that the officer, who is a highly decorated colonel, is now safe. While the officer sustained injuries, his condition is reported to be largely good. Trump characterized the operation as “one of the most daring search and rescue efforts in U.S. history” stating that the US military dispatched dozens of aircraft under his orders to secure the rescue.

US media reports indicated that the rescue operation involved an exchange of gunfire. However, sources maintained that there were no losses among the American military personnel. The rescued officer was flown to Kuwait for medical attention. Additionally, two US transport aircraft, which were used for the evacuation of the rescue teams, had to be left behind and destroyed at a remote Iranian base to prevent them from falling into the hands of Iran.
