Lebanon Excluded From US-Iran Deal

According to the Israeli government, a two-week ceasefire agreement reached between the United States and Iran does not apply to Lebanon. A statement issued by the office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu indicated that Israel supports the decision by US President Donald Trump to suspend attacks against Iran for two weeks, provided that Iran immediately opens the Strait of Hormuz and ceases all attacks on the US, Israel, and countries in the region. However, the agreement specifically excludes Lebanon. This stance contradicts a remark made by Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, who had mediated the agreement between the US and Iran, as Sharif stated that Lebanon is included in the arrangement, although Trump did not mention Lebanon in his statement.
