The Federal Prosecutor’s Office conducted searches across approximately 50 properties in twelve different federal states on Wednesday morning, following a decision by an investigating judge at the Federal Court of Justice.
The measures were taken against a total of 36 accused individuals who are suspected of being members of the right-extremist organizations “Jung & Stark” and “Deutsche Jugend Voran”. The General Federal Prosecutor reported that these groups have been active and nationally organized since mid-2024.
The investigations spanned multiple federal states, including Bavaria, Berlin, Brandenburg, Hesse, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Lower Saxony, North Rhine-Westphalia, Rhineland-Palatinate, Saarland, Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt, and Schleswig-Holstein. The accused face charges of membership in a criminal association, with allegations suggesting that some individuals acted when they were still juveniles or young adults. Additionally, several accused are suspected of acting as ringleaders.
Authorities suspect that the members of the two groups have incited violence against political opponents, as well as against individuals perceived to be pedophiles. Furthermore, some accused allegedly committed physical attacks on members of the left-wing scene or individuals they believed were pedophiles. The purpose of the searches was to clear up existing suspicions. Despite the extensive sweep, the Prosecutor’s Office reported that no arrests were made during the operation.
