On Sunday, a tiger escaped in a commercial area near Leipzig. According to reports cited by the “Leipziger Volkszeitung” from official sources, the animal subsequently attacked and injured a person. Police managed to shoot the tiger at a nearby garden facility. The large cat is reportedly owned by a handler who keeps a group of big cats in the industrial park in Schkeuditz. The individual who was lightly injured was allegedly an assistant to this handler. Authorities confirmed that no other animals escaped the enclosure.
