The Israeli military anticipates that the recent escalation in the conflict with Iran is likely to last for several days, and there is also a possibility that the situation could expand into a full-scale war, according to reports made on Monday.
Prior to the morning, Iran had fired three waves of attacks containing a total of 22 to 24 ballistic missiles at Israel, Iranian sources claim. The Houthi militia in Yemen participated as well, launching two rockets; one missed Israeli territory, while the other was intercepted by Israeli air defenses. According to Israel, all Iranian projectiles have thus far been countered or missed their targets.
Meanwhile, the Israeli Air Force, in its own statements, launched two waves of attacks targeting nine air defense and radar systems, along with a petrochemical complex in Iran. Some of these facilities are reportedly involved in the production of ballistic missiles.
General Staff Chief Eyal Zamir of Israel and Commander of the US Central Command (CENTCOM), Admiral Brad Cooper, are reportedly in constant communication, according to Israel. However, the United States is not participating in offensive operations against Iran, although it allegedly assisted in shooting down the missiles.
