Michael Bröcker Takes Helm of Politico Germany, Joining High-Profile Springer Editorial Team

Axel-Springer-Verlag announced on Monday that journalist Michael Bröcker will take over as Editor-in-Chief of “Politico Deutschland”. Bröcker has been serving as Editor-in-Chief of “Table Media” since January 2024, and prior to that, he worked for the “Rheinische Post” and the “The Pioneer” project.

Additionally, Annett Meiritz is moving from “Handelsblatt” to the Springer publishing house, where she will serve as the Deputy Editor-in-Chief of “Politico Deutschland”.

Gordon Repinski, who previously led the magazine, has moved into a newly created role as an “International Political Anchor” within Springer-Verlag’s “Premium Group.” This group includes titles such as “Politico”, “Die Welt”, and “Business Insider”. In his new capacity, Repinski will host his own talk show on “Welt TV” and participate in various video podcasts.
