At the Bayern training camp in Tegernsee, Manuel Neuer signaled that he might be nearing the end of his football career. According to Kicker, the 40-year-old said that it “looks strongly like I will stop.” While he does not claim that the current games are specifically his last, he noted that even if he only attends one or two more matches, the situation is currently uncertain.
It is clear, however, that Neuer plans to play for FC Bayern again next season, as his contract runs until the summer of 2027. He emphasized that he intends to fulfill his duties according to standard expectations, stating, “Last season, we always said that every match is the most important. We are starting the season this way; we want to beat everyone.”
