Green politician Marcel Emmerich is increasing pressure on Federal Interior Minister Alexander Dobrindt (CSU), demanding the provision of a promised timeline regarding the CSD attack. Emmerich told the news portal T-Online, stating, “We call on the Interior Minister to provide the chronology immediately.” The Green faction spokesperson for Interior Policy noted that this chronology is a “central building block of the investigative work.”
Earlier this week, during a special meeting of the Interior Committee, Interior Minister Dobrindt had agreed to provide a comprehensive chronology detailing the events and the actions taken by the authorities. According to Emmerich, this document was still not available on Friday.
The Green MP insisted that the facts must be presented in a way that is easily verifiable. He stressed that Dobrindt must contribute to the investigation into whether state agencies failed in their duty to prevent the attack. Emmerich concluded that “the processing of the terrible CSD attack must continue.”
Emmerich stated that significant clarification is still needed. He raised several questions, including: “Which authorities had contact with the perpetrator, when, and how? Who dealt with him? When and in what form was he a subject of discussion among security services? What information reached the judiciary? What is known about the perpetrator’s background?” He also demanded an explanation as to why the threat assessment from security services was not available to the court.
