In the fourth matchday of the 2. Bundesliga, Dynamo Dresden suffered a 1-2 defeat against VfL Bochum.
Koji Miyoshi opened the scoring for the visitors just three minutes into the match. After a back pass from Dynamo’s goalkeeper Tim Schreiber to teammate Nicolai Rapp, the ball was lost at the edge of the penalty area to Bochum midfielder Enis Cokaj. Cokaj fed the ball to Miyoshi, who calmly scored from a free-kick into the bottom left corner past Schreiber.
Miyoshi extended Bochum’s lead again in the 25th minute. When Dynamo midfielder Ben Bobzien lost control of the ball at the halfway line, substituted player Tom Meyer threaded a pass through to Miyoshi. The attacker maintained his cool and slotted the ball past Dynamo’s keeper Schreiber toward the right side.
Dynamo secured a consolation goal in the 41st minute. Dynamo striker Vincent Vermeij played the ball from the right side into the center to Rapp, who then managed to pass it to Niklas Hauptmann at the edge of the box. Hauptmann directed the ball to Bobzien, who finished it into the bottom right corner.
With the victory, Bochum temporarily moves up to 7th place in the standings, while Dresden drops to 17th due to the loss.
