The Viessmann Generations Group has acquired the last available share package in FC Bayern München AG. The German record champion announced this move on Thursday. Following this transaction, which is part of a capital increase, the Munich-based company now holds nearly 6.7 percent of the shares. Under the club’s statutes, FC Bayern München e.V. retains 70 percent of the shares, while other shareholders such as Adidas, Allianz, and Audi each own slightly less than 7.8 percent. Max Viessmann, head of the Viessmann Generations Group, will also become a member of the FC Bayern München AG Supervisory Board, which is set to expand from nine to ten members. This partnership, which will become effective upon registration in the commercial register, is expected to grant FC Bayern “additional scope” and support the club’s “long-term autonomy.” Herbert Hainer, president of FC Bayern München e.V. and chairman of the supervisory board of FC Bayern München AG, highlighted shared values such as “tradition, ambition, and innovation” that link the club and Viessmann. Viessmann stated that beyond providing capital, the company also intends to contribute “business experience” to the partnership.
