FC Bayern Munich is set to face Hertha BSC in the eighth finals of the DFB Cup. This matchup resulted from the draw held Sunday evening at the German Football Museum in Dortmund. The drawing was overseen by DFB Vice President Peter Frymuth, while Markus Gaugisch, the head coach of the German women’s national handball team, acted as the official draw master.
Meanwhile, VfB Stuttgart, who reached the final last year, will host Dynamo Dresden. Stuttgart should take heed of Dresden’s recent form, as the Saxony club eliminated Bundesliga promoted side Schalke 04 in the previous round.
The remaining eighth-final fixtures are scheduled to be played on December 1st and 2nd. These include Eintracht Frankfurt versus Borussia Dortmund, Bayer Leverkusen against RB Leipzig, Borussia Mönchengladbach versus SV Darmstadt 98, 1. FC Kaiserslautern versus SC Freiburg, Holstein Kiel versus 1. FC Cologne, and finally, VfL Bochum against FC Augsburg.
