Borussia Mönchengladbach has confirmed the departure of Alassane Pléa after seven years with the Bundesliga club. The French forward will join PSV Eindhoven in the Dutch Eredivisie, marking a new chapter in his career.
The announcement came from Borussia Mönchengladbach on Thursday, detailing Pléa’s desire to pursue a fresh sporting challenge and secure a longer-term contract. Sporting Director Roland Virkus stated that the club respected this ambition and facilitated the transfer.
Pléa initially arrived at Mönchengladbach in the summer of 2018, transferring from French side OGC Nice. During his tenure, he became a key attacking force for the team, consistently contributing to their performances. Across 236 appearances in all competitions, Pléa has recorded a significant record of 68 goals and 53 assists, leaving a considerable impact on the club’s offensive capabilities.
