Forward Ilyas Ansah is making the move from 1. FC Union Berlin to Hull City in the Premier League. The Berlin club announced the transfer on Tuesday. The attacker, who joined Köpenick last summer, quickly became a fan favorite after scoring a brace in his debut Bundesliga match against VfB Stuttgart. Over the season, Ansah contributed five goals and three assists in 33 Bundesliga appearances. The German national U21 player participated in 37 matches for Union Berlin and was instrumental in the club maintaining its league status. Speaking about the transfer, Ansah stated that playing in the Premier League had been his dream. Horst Heldt, CEO of Professional Football Men at 1. FC Union Berlin, explained that Ansah had shown good developmental progress last season and that interest from England was attractive for both the player and the club. Heldt added, “Following constructive talks with all parties involved, we collectively decided to accommodate his desire to move to the Premier League.”
