CSU Chief Markus Söder Joins SPD’s Spargelfahrt to Back Coalition Reforms and Unity

CSU leader Markus Söder will participate in the traditional asparagus cruise organized by the SPD Seeheim district on June 9th, according to reports by the “Rheinische Post”.

Esra Limbacher, the spokesperson for the Seeheim local party, confirmed Söder’s attendance. Limbacher emphasized that a “genuine alignment” is now required within the coalition to push forward the “urgently necessary reforms”. She stated, “No more arguments and insults; now it is about clear decisions and reliable, joint action”.

The SPD vice-leader added that by participating in the asparagus cruise, they will “jointly set sail for a fair reform course”. Limbacher expressed enthusiasm, noting, “We are very pleased that Markus Söder supports this course of reliability and trust and will be our guest at the asparagus cruise”. SPD leader Lars Klingbeil will also be present. The Seeheim district is known for representing the conservative faction within the SPD.
