Russian forces again targeted areas in the center and west of Ukraine during the night leading into Thursday. According to Kyiv Independent, eight people were killed and approximately 30 others were injured in the attacks.
Prior to these strikes, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy had warned about anticipated assaults on Wednesday evening, citing a report from the Air Force commander. Zelenskyy stated that Russia had been preparing a large-scale attack over the past few days, making it highly probable that the operation would take place that night.
Taking to the platform X, he emphasized the critical importance of his partners fully understanding the situation, stressing that the protection of civilian life depends directly on their willingness to assist with air defense missiles. He added that the United States and other partners are fully aware of the consequences should hesitation occur regarding this support.
