Jürgen Klopp, who has been reported as the new head coach of the German national football team, has confirmed reaching an agreement with his former employer, Red Bull. However, he made it clear that the deal is not yet finalized.
Speaking on Sunday in New York for Magenta TV, where he is working as an expert for the World Cup final between Spain and Argentina, Klopp stated, “Nothing is final.” He added, “But the conversations progressed, and everything is heading in the right direction.”
Klopp further revealed that he reached a “very generous arrangement” with Red Bull, claiming that “practically nothing is standing in the way” of the transition, other than needing to speak with the federation. He concluded that although “nothing has been decided, we are not far from being able to announce something,” indicating that, ideally, an agreement would be found in the coming days.
