Based on recent opinion polls following the Israeli parliamentary elections, the party of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Likud, may have strengthened its position again, as it is viewed as the strongest force by all three surveys. However, the Likud bloc, even with its allies, is unlikely to achieve a parliamentary majority. The center-left alliance led by former General Gadi Eizenkot is also viewed as slightly stronger according to all post-election polls, although it individually also fell short of securing more than half the seats in the Knesset. The parliamentary election was the first since the events of October 7, 2023, which have profoundly changed the country and its society. Due to the subsequent war in Gaza, there was a war cabinet from October 2023 until June 2024, which included opposition politicians.
