At least one person has died following the shooting incident at a techno party in Aarau, located in the canton of Aargau, Switzerland. According to preliminary findings released by the police, the nighttime gunfire at the Aarauer Schachen resulted in one fatality and five injured individuals, some of whom are seriously wounded.
The Cantonal Police of Aargau have launched an investigation, with the search for the unknown perpetrators continuing. As of now, possible motives and the precise circumstances of the incident remain unclear. A large number of emergency services are on site, including the Cantonal Police and the fire department, which established a large cordon around the area. Furthermore, multiple rescue services and the Cantonal Disaster Response unit of Aargau were mobilized.
The incident took place at the horse race track while the “Aarau Rave VOL. 7” techno festival was underway.
