A man was killed by a knife attack on Thursday in a bank branch located on Rennweg in Regensburg. According to the Oberpfalz Police Headquarters, the man was initially severely injured and taken to a hospital, where he succumbed to his wounds. Police special units are currently on the scene.
Current information indicates that the suspect is a male, and authorities are operating under the assumption that the attack was committed by a lone perpetrator. Several other individuals remain inside the building. Police have strongly urged residents to avoid the area around Rennweg and to follow all instructions given by the emergency services.
