A multi-family residential building collapsed in Görlitz, Saxony, on Monday afternoon. Police reported on Tuesday that a search is currently underway for three missing persons. Investigations into the cause of the collapse are ongoing, while rescue and search efforts for the missing individuals continue.
According to current reports, the missing individuals include two Romanian women, aged 25 and 26, and one man, aged 47, who holds German and Bulgarian dual nationality.
Throughout the entire city of Görlitz, significant traffic disruptions are expected until further notice. Travelers heading in the direction of Poland are advised to use alternate routes via Radmeritz, Hagenwerder, and Ludwigsdorf.
