According to Philipp Türmer, the leader of Juso, a massive tax relief for employees is urgently needed in current political discussions. Türmer stated to the ntv broadcaster on Monday that, from his personal perspective, the bottom 50 percent of income earners should not have to pay any taxes at all. The SPD politician suggests that to finance this hypothetical model, high wealth and inheritances should be taxed more heavily. He further proposed that the money generated should be spent to give people additional resources, which would subsequently help strengthen the economy.
