Frankfurt Authorities Foil Major Plot to Commit Multiple Contract Killings

Customs investigations and the Hessian State Criminal Police Office reported that they successfully prevented several planned contract killings in Frankfurt. The authorities made this announcement on Tuesday.

Last Friday, special units apprehended five individuals who were suspected of planning the violent acts. During the searches, the units recovered two sharp firearms, 50 rounds of ammunition, various other items relevant to the crime, and approximately 300 grams of hashish.

The arrested men, who are between 18 and 19 years old, were allegedly planning to commit the murders on the very same day. It was revealed that the suspected shooter intended to record the operation using a video camera. On July 4th, the suspects were brought before the investigating judge at the Wiesbaden District Court, who subsequently ordered them into pre-trial detention. The ongoing investigation is being managed by the Wiesbaden Public Prosecutor’s Office, the Frankfurt Customs Investigation Office, and the Hessian State Criminal Police Office.
