Berlin Ammunition Cache Uncovered: Intelligence Links Find Russian Agents’ Potential Attack Depot

Security authorities discovered a cache of sharp weapons on the outskirts of Berlin. According to reports from WDR, NDR, and SZ on Friday, the authorities believe the cache is a supply depot for Russian agents intended for potential attacks.

The investigation has been ongoing for months, as the discovery was originally made in the late summer of last year within a forest area bordering Brandenburg. The reports further detail that the location was a professionally constructed hiding spot containing “two sharp firearms.”

The Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution (BfV) allegedly has intelligence suggesting that this is a covert supply depot belonging to Russian intelligence services. Sources familiar with the investigation are reportedly convinced that the weapons were stored for agents meant to carry out so-called “kinetic operations” throughout German territory on behalf of Moscow.

The BfV has officially declined to comment publicly on the matter, while the Russian embassy has yet to respond to inquiries.
