Shakira and Burna Boy’s official FIFA World Cup song, “Dai Dai,” has reached the number one spot of the official German single charts for the twelfth time, according to an announcement by GfK on Friday. Other chart contenders include Summer Cem and Shirin David with their track “Mo’ Money Mo’ Haters,” along with “Wir sind Helden” for their song “Von hier an blind.” Meanwhile, the artists Ufo 361 and Souly, as well as the duo Blumengarten with “War nie weg,” are highest newcomers, landing in tenth place.
Shifting focus to the albums, the Saarland-based rock band “Krawallbrüder” secured the top position in the album charts with “1993,” marking the eighth Top 10 album for the group, which includes three entries within the Top 3. The album “Sternensegler” by the medieval folk-rock band Schandmaul placed second, while the South Korean boy group “Stray Kids” (“This and That”) captured the bronze position.
These official German charts are determined by GfK Entertainment on behalf of the German Music Industry Association, covering 90 percent of all music sales.
