Following a confirmed hacker attack in September, the AfD inspected 24 mailboxes, according to its own statements. A spokeswoman for the “Süddeutsche Zeitung” reported that the review of these 24 mail accounts was triggered by suspicion of a compromise, and that data was apparently stolen from ten of them. Previously, the AfD had announced that several email accounts had been targeted by the hacker attack during September. Since Monday, reports have circulated on the X platform suggesting that potentially over 420,000 internal emails may have been leaked.
