Eintracht Frankfurt has signed Noel Aseko from FC Bayern Munich. The defensive midfielder has reportedly signed a deal that runs until June 30, 2031, as the club announced on Saturday. Aseko, who is originally from Berlin, completed his football education at Hertha BSC before playing for FC Bayern starting in 2022.
Last season, Aseko was on loan at Hannover 96, where he featured in 33 Second Division matches. During that time, he scored three goals and provided six assists. The 20-year-old has primarily established himself in defensive midfield, though he can also play as an eight or a wing-back.
Sporting Director Markus Krösche commented that Aseko was recognized as a talented player two years ago. He noted that Aseko demonstrated in Hannover that he possesses the physical qualities necessary for the next step in his career. Aseko himself expressed happiness about the move, stating that Frankfurt is the right place for his continued development.
